Will epoxy be ok on my motorcycles crankcase?

I need to move the insulated temperature gauge wire from the path of the radiator fan. I was wondering if gluing the wire with epoxy to the side of the transmission cover would work? Would epoxy liquify when the engine warms up? I read somewhere that epoxy can stand temps up to 350 degrees F. Will this work guys???
