How do attach 2 pieces of pond liner together?

The pond liner i have is 45mm EPDM, and the biggest size i could find isn't big enough. I was wondering if using a marine epoxy, and then putting roof tape over that would good enough. The roof is waterproof and the brand is Eternabond. The tape comes in 4" x 1' and 6" x 1'
