Is "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippletoe for Strength Conditioning in MMA?

It is a 3 times a week full body workout of lifting heavy weight. You do the bench press, squat, dips , shoulder press , power clean , dead lift, and other compound exercises. I want to get stronger while doing mma with this. Can I do a class of muay Thai before every workout of Starting Strength? I'm trying to gain weight and muscle at the same time
