PPG Non-Sanding Epoxy primer?

I recently bought ppg dp90lf epoxy primer, but on the can it says non sandable. I was always taught you could sand epoxy primer but that was DuPont. Can this stuff actually be sanded when using it as a primer over bare metal? Or do i need to buy something else to spray over the epoxy primer before applying base in case there is orange peel in the original epoxy primer coat?
