I painted my motorcycle tank with rattle cans. What clear coat finish?

My advice would be to stick with the type of paint you used for the base coat eg... if you used enamel then use enamel clear coat. Then apply 5 or 6 even coats of clear allow to dry for 48 hours. Now gently rub the tank back with 2000 grade wet and dry sandpaper. Once you've removed all the orange peel affect you can then polish the tank to a showroom shine. 2 pac polyeurathanes are ok to spray on plastic fenders as they dont crack or peel upon flexing of the plastic unlike acrylics and enamels. http://www.preferredcarcare.com.au
