I am making glasses from wine bottles & want to know which glue is best for attaching the base to the glass?

We have used a UV glue and it works pretty well, but we are unsure if it is safe to use. We cork the neck of the bottle using the synthetic corks before gluing it to the base. I just want to make sure that if I sell this drinking product, I am not putting my customers in harm's way. Is there a safer glue or epoxy that we should be using
